Tony Evangelista is a second generation Italian who has been in the food business for the past 25 years. Born and raised in New York, he has lived in PA for the past 10 years and worked in various restaurants before opening Hatboro Dish.
From an early age, Tony had a passion for cooking and was always experimenting at home and would cook up many meals for his high school baseball team. He would prepare amazing meals for his parents, Giovanni and Rocca.
Tony prides himself on his well-organized kitchen and staff. He established a reputation providing high quality food, excellent customer service and an inviting atmosphere for his customers.
Tony Evangelista bought Lochel’s from the Lochel family in May 2012. He worked hard to cater to the current clientele and also bring his own flair to the restaurant. After about a year, once he had established his reputation for good, fresh food; he changed the name to Hatboro Dish and began adding dinner and catering to his repertoire. He offers a family-friendly atmosphere, with a menu full of delicious, fresh food and enticing daily specials.
